André Schmid (born 30 August 1983) is a Swiss retired handballer.^[1] He retired in February 2024.^[2] At the same time he announced that he will be taking over as a head coach of the Swiss national team.^[2]

He has the record for both most matches and most goals for the Swiss national team.
