Walter Edward "Ed" Red (born March 6, 1942) is an American athlete. He competed in the men's javelin throw at the 1964 Summer Olympics.^[1] Known as Ed Red, he had one of the shortest names of any Olympian.

Personal life

Red is the brother-in-law of fellow Olympic javelin thrower, Richard George,^[2] and he is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.^[3]
