Mpulungu District (Swahili: Wilaya ya Mpulungu) is a district of Zambia, located in Northern Province. The capital lies at Mpulungu. The district borders Rukwa Region of Tanzania to the north. As of the 2000 Zambian Census, the district had a population of 67,602 people.[1]
