Valmala was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 61 and an area of 11.0 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi).[1]

History

Valmala was an autonomous comune up to the end of 2018; on January the 1st 2019 it was united to the neighbouring comune of Busca, thus enforcing the results of a referendum held in the summer of 2018.[2]

As a self-standing comune Valmala bordered the following municipalities: Brossasco, Busca, Melle, Roccabruna, Rossana, Venasca, and Villar San Costanzo.
