West Craigs

West Craigs is the name given to two separate areas of Scotland:

  • A small suburb on the western periphery of Edinburgh, south-east of Edinburgh Airport and close to The Gyle Shopping Centre, Gogar, Maybury and Edinburgh Gateway station; also the name of a new (2020s) greenfield development to the west of the existing housing, around Turnhouse.[1][2]
  • A modern (2000s / 2010s) residential development between the towns of Hamilton and Blantyre in South Lanarkshire[3][4] (sometimes referred to as Westcraigs),[5] adjoining the Hamilton International Technology Park and the older neighbourhood of Hillhouse.
