Pengepungan Zaltbommel berlangsung dari 15 Mei hingga 22 Juli 1599 pada saat Perang Delapan Puluh Tahun dan Perang Inggris-Spanyol. Pasukan Spanyol yang dipimpin oleh Francisco López de Mendoza y Mendoza melancarkan serangan besar-besaran di kawasan Bommelerwaard, yang dijaga oleh pasukan Inggris-Belanda di bawah kepemimpinan Maurits van Oranje. Spanyol mencoba mengepung Kota Zaltbommel, tetapi mereka harus menghentikan pengepungan tersebut dan akhirnya mengalami kekalahan dalam upaya-upaya mereka untuk merebut kembali inisiatif. Mendoza mundur dari medan tempur dan pasukan Spanyol mengalami kekalahan. Kemudian terjadi dahagi, sehingga operasi pasukan Spanyol tertunda selama bertahun-tahun. Belanda dan Inggris lalu melancarkan serangan balasan ke wilayah Belanda Spanyol.[3][7]
