Tumbuhan karnivora

Tumbuhan karnivora adalah tumbuhan yang mendapatkan sejumlah kecil atau sejumlah besar nutrien mereka (namun bukan energi) dari menjebak dan menyantap hewan atau protozoa, biasanya serangga dan artropoda lainnya. Tumbuhan karnivora beradaptasi untuk tumbuh di tempat-tempat dimana tanah yang gersang atau kurang akan nutrien, seperti rawa gambut yang mengandum asam. Charles Darwin menulis Insectivorous Plants, sebuah risalah terkenal pertama tentang tumbuhan karnivora, pada tahun 1875.^[4]
