Ave Caesar! je mađarski crno-bijeli film snimljen 1919. u režiji Alexandera Korde. Radnja je bila smještena u doba Austro-Ugarske i prikazivala kako raskalašeni i razvratni habsburški princ šalje svog ađuntanta da mu pribavi mladu Ciganku. Film je bio snimljen nakon osnivanja kratkotrajne Mađarske Sovjetske Republike koja je nacionalizirala filmske studije; Korda je film snimio za propagandne potrebe režima, te se smatrao napadom na aristokraciju.^[1]. Nakon što je Mađarska Sovjetska Republika srušena, započeo je Bijeli teror tokom koga je Korda bio uhapšen; nakon što je pušten je zajedno sa svojom suprugom Marijom Cordom (koja je također nastupila u filmu) pobjegao u Austriju i tamo nastavio karijeru.
